The Order of the Daughters of the King

Julian of Norwich Chapter

Our chapter meets on the third Sunday of each month following the 10:30 service at 1:00 pm.

Vision Statement:   Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our Vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others and to become reflections of God's love throughout the world.  We invite you to share our vision!

Mission of the Order:  Our mission is to be the extension of Christ's Kingdom through Prayer, Service and Evangelism.

A Daughter will love God and have affection for her neighbors, by the grace of God.  She must always remember that her love for Jesus is only real and true when she does in fact love and practice forbearance for her most unlovely neighbors.

A Daughter will pray for Jesus who is her intimate friend.  She prays regularly and uncaringly, for prayer is a state of being, not just a physical or verbal position.  A Daughter's life is a prayer, born or acted out of love, not fear.

A Daughter will serve her King and her service to the King of Kings is only accomplished when she serves in and through His family and the Holy Church.

Who is Julian of Norwich?

Save Your Plastic Grocery Bags and Bring Them to Church

Picture
DOK is repurposing plastic grocery bags by turning them into mats.  The end product is a lightweight, waterproof mat made for people experiencing homelessness.
♻️ What They Are
  • These mats are created by turning grocery bags into “plarn” (plastic yarn), which is then crocheted or woven into durable mats.
  • The mats are water-resistant, easy to clean, and nearly indestructible, making them useful for outdoor sleeping or sitting.
  • They provide a barrier against cold, damp ground, offering a more hygienic and comfortable surface than bare pavement.
🌍 Why They Matter
  • Environmental impact: Plastic bags take 20–500+ years to decompose. Turning them into mats keeps them out of landfills and oceans.
  • Social impact: These mats provide comfort and dignity to people in need and can save lives!

Pray the Anglican Rosary

Our Daughters of the King have hand-crafted Anglican Rosaries available for a contribution.
