Memorial Service for Those Who Died on the Streets in 2025
Sunday, December 21st
6:00 p.m.
St. John's Episcopal Church
402 N. Topeka
In the hushed quiet of the ebbing day, we come together to honor those who have died, often by themselves, often without the benefit of comfort from others, most without a service to recognize their life. They were someone's father or mother, son or daughter, brother or sister, grandson or granddaughter.
They lived on the edges of society - seen but not heard, shunned, hungry, frightened, alone. These are they who Jesus sought, who Jesus instructed us to tend and feed. As night falls in this most Holy season, as we wait in expectation for the birth of the Christ Child, we pause to honor and devote this time to these individuals.

This is Their Time.
On bended knee we pray the Service of Burial; we remember and commend to God each of these individuals, the Lost, Last, and Least as we share our collective grief. We pray they are rejoicing in the beauty of God's Light.
