Remembrance and Beyond
Wichita Community Holocaust Commemoration

Margot Kelman

Margot Kelman is the daughter of a Holocaust survivor. Her mother, from Berlin, was rescued by the Kindertransport when she was eleven years old. Margot is the author of the forthcoming book, Not for Your Eyes: A Holocaust Love Story in Letters, to be published in March 2027. She is a former resident of the Wichita area and earned her PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Wichita State University. Her work as a speech-language pathologist focused on young children. She will share her family’s Holocaust story with us.

"Lunch & Learn"
Holocaust Memorial
Wednesday, April 15, 2026 11:00 am

We hope that, for the Mid-Kansas Jewish Federation (MKJF) Lunch & Learn this month, you will join us at the Holocaust Commemoration on Tuesday at 7:00 pm at Newman University (information above). Then, to continue with a trip to the new Wichita Holocaust Memorial, located adjacent to Veterans Memorial Park (339 Veterans Parkway) on Wednesday morning.

After we visit the area, we will go to lunch. The restaurant has not been confirmed yet. When you call the MKJF with your reservation, we will let you know the lunch spot.


The cost for lunch is $10. Don't hesitate to contact the MKJF if the cost is a factor in your participation. Please do not let the cost stop you from coming.

Reservations are REQUIRED. Make your reservation by April 13 by calling the MKJF office at 686-4741 or emailing Julie at [email protected]. Please note the 11:00 am start time!

Please remember: Everyone is invited to Café Chevre. Invite a friend! It's our lunch and learn program with topics of interest to all!
